Anyone using GOG Galaxy client

I dont have many games on this and i have the latest version.
Every time i close the client it sticks a report in reliability monitor to say galaxy client helper application stopped working ..... why does it do that ??

Can't tell you any exact reasons, other than the fact that Galaxy has issues. Often on my laptop, after the computer has been Sleeping, GoG will just start consuming tons of CPU for no apparent reason. It's not downloading or anything, it's just sucking up resources, so I have to kill it.

You may just want to try cleaning out your Galaxy install. Uninstall it in the program manager and then go and make sure the folder itself is also wiped out by manually deleting it if needed.

Mine's showing reports in Reliability monitor as well, hadnt looked until just now but its been doing it for a bit. Hadnt noticed, its not been causing problems although it doesnt get actively used very often so might have been more noticeable if it was.

Yeah, I get a crash from the GalaxyClient Helper.exe when it starts up. Whatever that helper app is, it can't help anymore.

Oh, GOG is updating Galaxy again! I had to go under the menu in the upper left to check for updates, but it has some. Errr... except nothing is happening. I guess that's what the helper is supposed to help with. Looks like a manual download and update will be needed. Eventually.

I am not having these issues.
I don't know if you can scan the program for corrupt files that it would fix.
Or reinstall to see if that helps.
Seems odd a few of you are getting it.

I have shortcuts on my desktop for the 3-4 games that I'm playing at any one time. Doesn't matter what launcher/client I have then. I've tried GOG Galaxy before and I always had issues with it,either crashing or not picking up all games.
