It sounds like you'll be fine as long as you Don't Ask, Don't Tell and don't talk about sexuality in games or how your sexuality affects your gaming experience.

Edit: Here's my constructive criticism: The rules as written are incredibly non-inclusive and ham-fisted. It's possible to write rules that discourage toxicity without seeming hostile to large swaths of the gaming community.

Hey there. To echo LCarlson above, you are most absolutely are welcome here!

I understand that the question might be arising due to a misunderstanding on what was previously an unfortunately worded, and out of context "one-size fits all" policy specifically about off-topic conversation not relating to gaming, games, or gamers. The rules were updated with that clumsy wording (and rough initialism) taken out to make it more clear and easy to understand.

Inclusion and Diversity is one of our core principles, which you can discover here: https://forums.pcgamer.com/threads/universal-declaration-of-principles.959/

Oh! And the link to the rules can be found here. I left a little note at the bottom about the update.

Sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding and launch day bumps!

Thank you - and likewise!

I did post a (probably overlong and wordy) explanation about some of the intent behind the founding of these forums here: https://forums.pcgamer.com/threads/...-community-from-vp-community-joe-pishgar.427/ This might also help explain some of the hope and rationale behind the "Why?" of this space.

There's already quite a few lively discussions underway, and so far, it's been spectacularly mature and well-thought discourse!
