Hello All,
I am looking at building a primarily gaming rig, but will be streaming videos as well. I assume I don't need to really worry about the streaming aspect as a PC powerful enough to run high res games should be able to handle streaming no issue (please correct me if I am wrong).
I had a bad experience with AMD a long time ago so I usually go with Intel however I am not against AMD assuming they are more stable/reliable.
I usually buy from a company called Memory Express (https://www.memoryexpress.com/), but would entertain looking at any other Canadian companies.
I will be using HDMI over ethernet (EZCOO HDMI Extender with ARC (easycoolav.com) ) as well as USB over ethernet (USB2.0 Extender over cat 5/6 up to 165ft, Expand to 4 USB ports (easycoolav.com) ) so that my PC will be physically located in the mechanical room. Sadly the manufacturer of the above devices only sells a combo HDMI+USB over ethernet in the UK (from what I could see), but would love to know if there is a combo unit from any reputable manufacturer in Canada so I can cut down on the # of devices.
My aim for PC placement is so that I can "move" my PC to any displays in my house by simply swapping ethernet cables to the desired room.
Displays that will connect to this PC:
1) 24" 1080p monitor;
2) 80" 1080p LED TV;
3) 46" 1080p LED TV;
4) Future: ~34" curved gaming monitor; (Please feel free to recommend this monitor - I am not including the cost of this monitor in my PC budget)
5) Future: 80+" probably 4K TV.
There would be a handful of games that I would play on the large screen (Elite Dangerous, random JRPG - Think Final Fantasy series), but the vast majority of my gaming would be on the current 24" (34" curved down the road).
I hope I have included enough information, but if I missed anything please let me know.
Thank you!
