Replaced the PSU on my pre-built. See below for the nightmare.

Late March it started acting weird. Random crashes. Random shutdown and restart. Had the tower plugged into an big, old battery bank thing. Computer Management Errors: Event ID 1796 - Secure Boot update failed. Not enabled. Fixed but only OFF b/c BIOS update. Event 41 - When it froze/crash I had...

NVidia to AMD GPU upgrade? Help and info?

I've learned the 3060Ti is still a really good GPU and considering at most in the far future 1440p might be an upgrade then I don't see any reason to upgrade just yet. IDK if I mentioned by in building my first PC I did well over a year of looking into parts, how they work together, AMD vs...

NVidia to AMD GPU upgrade? Help and info?

If that's your PC, that's kickin'. I haven't looked. The product page doesn't list the model. I emailed the company and even the case that's used is hard to find b/c it also isn't listed on the product page. All the benchmarks for the 3060Ti seem to be quit good and it came out in 2020. I don't...

NVidia to AMD GPU upgrade? Help and info?

I'm somewhat knowledgeable on parts and have only built one PC. My first desktop I did with help in January 2016. My current one: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 RTX 3060Ti 16GB RAM 800W PSU My first NVidea GPU. I prefer AMD parts. I've found a couple I like and fit my requirements. None if it is 4K and...

Upgrading new desktop. GPU and RAM; maybe use spar NVME with heatsink on a card. Help?

Just enough to where I can remove the NVidia ones and install the new AMD one and update from there? I've only upgraded RAM and hard drives and only built one PC before this so I don't know a lot about upgrading most parts.

Upgrading new desktop. GPU and RAM; maybe use spar NVME with heatsink on a card. Help?

A GPU will still work without updated drivers? If I get the new one, I would have to use whatever that program is to uninstall updates or how does that work? A 3060Ti is lower mid tier now but considering my former desktop this one is big improvement. What is this DDU software?

Upgrading new desktop. GPU and RAM; maybe use spar NVME with heatsink on a card. Help?

I forgot to ask. Is upgrading a GPU from an NVidia GPU to an AMD RX one easy? I've only built one PC. I'm looking at...

    Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Discussion

I got a new desktop 4 months ago. I've been using AMD parts for years in laptops and desktops. I got CP on PS4 and unless they're going to offer it for free or very cheap with the DLC at any point in the future I'm not getting another copy.

    Surge protector or Wall outlest?

I'm not taking chances. With the weather and another "unnamed variable" i cannot speak of, I unplug my newer PC and PS5 before I leave the house even for a short while. I would NOT use a power strip.

    Surge protector or Wall outlest?

I've had laptops and desktops into the wall and a good surge protector. No problems either way. However, given local weather and as of late with PS5s getting bricked if plugged in during storms, I would suggest unplugging whatever if there is "questionable weather".

New here. Not new to PC gaming or parts but don't know as much as I'd like to.
