Would this build work?

Hi, I am looking to build a gaming PC for my son that will serve any gaming needs he has for the foreseeable future. Would these components make a great PC & are they all compatible with each other. Or can it be improved?

Any RX 6800XT would be fine. Good luck finding one though as they sold out instantly on launch.
I would go with a Ryzen 7 5800X but again these are generally on a pre order basis. A 12 core processor is really over the top for gaming.

You don't really need 32GB of ram, 16 GB will be fine.

The cooler you have chosen is a 360mm one, your case will only fit a 240mm one at the top. I'd drop down to a 240mm one and add a non RGB 120mm fan at the back.

As it appears that you are in the UK I would seriously look at scan.co.uk bundles. For instance

The advantage of this is that it's built and fully tested for you so a lot of the tricky parts of a build are already done for you. It doesn't include WiFI but you can add a card for around £15-20 if it's not possible to run an Ethernet cable from router to PC.

Make an account at PCpartPicker.com and fill in your components. It'll almost always warn you of mismatches.

You're spending a lot to achieve that. A main reason to play on PC is the upgradability, so consider spending 1/2 now and half on upgrades in 2-3 years.
