Witcher 3, is this quest glitched or am I missing something?

Dont think I ever got that far in TW3 but is it time of day sensitive? Maybe the NPC is only there during the day.

Baron is in Velen.......it's pointing to the fast travel sign.

THAT's it!! I was beating my head on the keyboard because I know I ran into the same exact thing when I played. I looked all over that spot!

That explains why I suddenly have a sunset picture of Novigrad after a ton of Skelliga (sp?) pictures and before Uma's picture. (He really is ugly. Not as ugly as the Baron's kid, but getting there.)

Oh, and from my searching, if you haven't done "The Last Wish" to your satisfaction yet, you need to do it now. It's about to close off.

In my defense I DO NOT ever play RPG's - always been a high paced shooter type of player (see: Unreal Tournament) I'm about to fire up the Witcher after my shift...if it really is THAT simple, I may just sell my rig....

So I went into the fast travel menu and found no markers anywhere except the one I was currently at... Then I back out another level to see all the kingdoms and sure enough the quest marker led back to Velen. Story is moving along now. Thanks all!

is it time of day sensitive?

Another common thing is an item or event is only available after you've triggered some necessary preceding event like meet someone or read something etc.
