I'm thining of building a new gaming computer by the end of this year (retired and budget is tight this summer). Anyway I'm thinking of a AMD Ryzen 5 series (R5 5600X right now) CPU and D550 motherboard. What I would like to know is which would be a better GPU with my system. AMD Radeon 6600 XT or a GeForce RTX 3060 ti? I've read that the Radeon GPU's are a little faster with the Ryzen CPU's but I would like some users to chime in and let me know what they think. Thanks in advance!

If it's just a matter of speed, I'm pretty sure the Nvidia one is going to be faster even with the AMD CPU because it starts out 30 percent faster. You aren't going to get that kind of synergistic bump from the AMD GPU.

But the number of people who know more about this than I do is staggering. I only posted because none of them have showed up yet, so you should probably wait for an answer from one of them :)

Your choice of gpu will depend on your monitor (g-sync / freesync) and budget. What is your budget, what country are you located and what is your monitor resolution or is a monitor to be included in the budget?

I live in the USA, budget is tight (retired) and I plan on using my old Dell ST2210 monitor for now. Just trying to get an idea of which GPU to use before I start my build.

This gives you a rough idea of what you're looking at cost wise.
