What's your favorite game for watching the numbers go up?

A lot of people like idle games for this reason, numbers going up and up. I like it in other games, too. For instance, in Monster Train 2, a lot of the units have stats that can scale during battle. Sometimes they'll be persistent from one battle to the next. I find these incredibly fun. For instance, i just played the mushroom guys, and my champion started the game at 15 attack damage and ended it at around 600 damage.

Once everything is going strong in X4: Foundations, you can just sit back and watch your bank account go up and up. There's even an office in the HQ to do it in, surrounded by trophies for big quests you finished. I can't say I've ever done it for more than about 15 minutes, though, before I see some wonderful opportunity to make the numbers go up even faster that I can't pass up.

AFK skilling in Runescape 3. Especially at events like Christmas or Double XP. I like fishing the most, because you just throw the line in a school of fish and then you get xp, fish and maybe a lucky drop. Super chill and you'll always see that xp bar go up, even if it goes very, very slow when you have millions of xp left, lol.

ARPGs are pretty good for watching numbers go up too.

League of Legends with Veigar. Watching his ability power go up with a rab cap and the new potions in ARAM Mayhem..... sooooooo goooooood.

I played the demo for Berry Bury Berry today, which looks like it fits in this category as well. It describes itself as an "incremental" game, which is like a clicker game but with a bit more involved mechanics than just clicking.

In this case, it's about grabbing berries off of a bush and chucking them in a hole, which then spits out a coin. After doing that a couple of times you can buy a Berry Buddy, which is a walking little bush in a pot that spawns more berries for you to throw in the hole. Occasionally the hole spits out a star which you can use to upgrade your Berry Buddies to grow more profitable fruit so you get more money for more Berry Buddies.

Other upgrades include stuff like the ability to pick up multiple pieces of fruit at once and automatic pick-up of coins around you. Basically, things that let you make money even faster so you can buy more upgrades to make you more money.
