best off buying 2 x 8gb in a set. More likely to not have any errors. Mixing ram doesn't always work well.

I tend to use Crucial's advisor sparsely since they did lead me to a string of wrong information's. It helps if you can double check with other sites.

Can you please look at the bottom of your laptop for a sticker? You should be seeing an alphanumeric code after the 15- to signify the KSU for your laptop.
