I've been obsessing over Hogwarts Legacy lately, playing it exclusively. I never thought this game would be very enjoyable for me because I don't tend to get into magic based games much. In a way I'm glad I didn't buy it though because Epic ended up offering it for free and I snatched it up. Thanks EGS, great late holiday gift!
I've one main quest, 4 sides, and one of the three battle arenas remaining. Lately I've also been flying around on my fully upgraded broom to find things I've missed, having just completed landing platforms. I also have all Legendary gear that is max upgraded and has level 3 traits which buff my strongest spells and ancient magic.
You start feeling really powerful at this point, especially with the 3 unforgivable spells. I had a bit of a panic last night thinking I had lost the chance to unlock the Ancient Magic III trait, which requires a Phoenix feather to craft. I had worried after giving the Phoenix to Deek, it was gone, as there is only one such bird in the game.
Turns out I just wasn't seeing the 4th vivarium, which is harder to see from the main floor of the Room of Requirements. So I went up the stairs to that back balcony to see if the Mt Vivarium was there, and sure enough, it was. So I stepped into it and groomed and fed the majestic Phoenix so I could get that feather!
That said, I have to be honest as well about one bad experience, the Wingardium Leviosa spell. This one when you get it is available separately and also auto piggy backs on Accio. There are some Merlin Trials that require it to align symbols on stones. For me, Wingardium Leviosa didn't work for this as it should.
I then realized if I use Accio instead, I could then rotate the stones with WL. That is until I got to certain other Merlin Trial puzzles, where the stone would not even levitate, let alone biaxially rotate. Now if we were talking a game that didn't sell well, that's one thing, but with 40 Mill copies sold I expect better.
The funny thing about mentioning Wingardium Leviosa on Steam Forums is inevitably you get someone mimicking Hermione insisting the pronunciation is wrong. LOL
