What is your personal favorite RPG role to fill?

Anything that can take out enemies from a distance, whether that is by shooting arrows, guns, staves, wands or simply flinging spells with my fingers.

I've always liked playing mages, especially ones that have minions like summoners or necromancers.
If those aren't available, I still enjoy the typical fireball and magic missile slinging sort of mage.

Definitely Elven-Rogue and if possible, to mix classes, then add a dash of assassin into it. You simply cannot afford to miss all the chests and traps early game in any RPG (Personal opinion). Also, how much easier can it get gaining experience by just walking around disabling traps and opening chest.
