Question War Thunder—single player possible?

I have a question about the game: War Thunder
Is it possible to play single player in the game?

yeah there's single player mini modes, but it's only for planes sadly, there's no single player for boats or tanks according to this:

Completely lost on how this game works

Hi, newbie here….I enjoyed playing the single missions, but can’t seem to unlock any new ones. So I figured it’s because I was just using the free version from Steam. So i paid for an F-5 pack that cost something like 60USD? I then expected to be able to play more single missions and fly the F-5…...

At the top where you klick to play a game you can change to ground battles, that way you play tanks, and airplanes in tank games.
