Heya Guys, I would like to update my current PC which is :

I'm planning to spend around £ 1k. What would you recommend?

Well, I think your biggest pain point is probably going to be that 970 with only 4GB of memory. This is an ugly time to upgrade, though, as the newest graphics cards are VERY hard to find at a sane price. The latest CPUs are in the same boat, so update the motherboard/CPU doesn't seem like the best idea, either. All in all, I think your best bet is to stash the cash until summer then look around again.
 
100% agree with Zloth, you just can't find a graphics card at the moment, and the new Ryzen CPU's arent much better. High demand, low supply, crypto currencies kicking off, its bad for many reasons. Even the low end cards have been sold oput or are going for double what they should.

I would think you can at least get most things to play with your current system, so stick with it for a while longer. I know its not ideal but unless you want to pay double what you should for a card, should you even be able to find one, its best to wait.
