This is a longshot, but does anyone know anything about this?

Some time in the last 10 years (I really think it was after this forum opened, though) there was an announcement for a game where you played the lone human on a spaceship that was on a very long trip. I think it had very important cargo. Anyway, you were the only human on the ship, and you stayed in stasis unless trouble arose, like space pirates or an unfriendly alien species, at which point you were awakened and expected to take care of business in order to protect the ship and cargo.

It was an announcement trailer, possibly on the PC Gaming Show during E3. I thought it was an interesting idea, but I have no idea what the name of the game is or who was developing it. I imagine that it might have been canceled at this point, but don't really know. Anyone remember this?

That sounds like this:

That's it, although I read half the review and couldn't tell for sure, so I went to the Steam page. It's weird that I suddenly thought about this, and it had released just a week ago. Added it to my wishlist.

@Kaamos_Llama here's one that might be like we were talking about the other day, the old type of shooter but not a boomer shooter.

That rings a bell—I vaguely remember a trailer like that, maybe 2017-ish? Could it have been Genesis Alpha One? Though that had clones, not stasis. Might be a totally different game though.
