Question the website

Ever since Windows stopped support for windows 7 and let it die, it takes for ever to start my system. I mean i need to wait about 8 minutes BEFORE i try to open any browser window, and quite often i still have to wait for 5 minutes the first time i open a browser.

Tonight i went to the pcgamer site and the stupid thing was crashed from the videos to click on and the add popups. Took me 16 minutes before i could actually get chrome closed out and i could dig grhough my history to get a page on the forums.

Is this a normal thing for people here, the huge lags?

I get the problem on alot of sites. Some days its worse but the average is 5-8 minutes. Mainly the chrome browser circle icon spinning, and a little white box in the bottom left corner saying crap about connecting to site.

Check your hardware, it's not Windows 7 issue (unless you made a real mess there).
Check your HDD/SSD S.M.A.R.T. values for starters, lots of free apps for that. I personally like
(select your drive, switch to S.M.A.R.T. tab - if anything is in red, backup immediately)

Next step would be checking your temperatures for CPU during idle usage and then RAM with a tool like memtest 86.
