Suggestion on SSDs

Hi, I have a fairly old system which has a Gigabyte H110M-S2 motherboard. I am in urgent need for an SSD. I wanted to get a M.2 NVME SSD which I know my current motherboard doesn't support since it doesn't have a M.2 slot. But I don't want to buy another SATA SSD now since I plan to get a better motherboard in the future. What's the solution ? Is there a way to make the M.2 NVME SSD work on my current motherboard with some adapter or something (I am okay with it giving SATA like speeds now) ?
