Just remembered that the full EP of Hunt: Showdown's soundtrack by Port Sulphur Band is available on Spotify these days. The band is made up of members of the development team, which is cool in and of itself, but the grimy sound of the songs sells the game universe incredibly well. Rise Up Dead Man is the game's main theme and the humming alone gives me chills. I also love the lyrical version.

"Rise up, dead man, let the gunshots ring"..

Honestly, this EP is fantastic stuff and a real mood piece for those dark winter days.

More?? If I remember right (and it's been over two years), I kinda held back on this because we had just done a "great songs" thread. I can cut loose with more.

The X series has a great soundtrack... mostly 'spacey' stuff, naturally. Makes for good background music while working.

Elder Scrolls games (starting with Morrowind) have great soundtracks - especially the opening song, then it settles down nicely for background music after that

Mechwarrior 5's soundtrack is a pretty good one if you're into electric guitars

Bard's Tale 4's soundtrack is amazing

And so is Homeworld's, but I don't want to look it up because I'm listening to BT4. ;)

I've had Deep Rock Galactic's soundtrack on while I work a lot recently. The swarm and escape incidental tracks are freakin' excellent, but in general it's all really good.

Hard to know whether I listen to it just because it's good, or whether I listen to it because I've put nearly 200 hours into the game and I'd rather be playing DRG than working.
