Should I Start Playing Rocket League?

My old office mates use to play Rocket League so I'm curious. I'm mostly into CS2 and FIFA but would like to try this if the game starts quickly and the round takes overall less time than a regular CS match. The point here is I don't have much time to play these days.

It has been years since I have played so I am probably not the best to answer this, but I did try to find an answer on a Rocket League Twitch channel.

One person there mentioned that you could do 1 vs 1 with first-goal wins, which would probably be the fastest way to play. Except for that, the average match will be around 5-7 minutes, so if you compare that to a DUST 2.0 DM or similar type of CSGO match, it is much faster. As for match waiting time, I am not sure, but if you look at https://steamdb.info/app/252950/charts/, there seems to be an ok amount of people playing each day.

Also throwing in this in case it might be of interest as it has super quick matches according to the author: https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/t...he-sickest-counter-strike-source-mod-of-2007/.

Hey, thanks for checking into that for me!

Sounds like 1v1 with first-goal wins would be the absolute fastest way to jump in for a quick Rocket League fix. 5-7 minutes per match is definitely faster than CS:GO, especially considering warmup and buy phases.

Thanks again for the info, I appreciate it!

If you love fast-paced games like CS2 and FIFA, I think you'd find Rocket League a fun change. Just a few minutes to spend and the match runs way, way quicker than a typical CS round. I take it as an option when there is not much time to play.

The gameplay is simple but addictive—it’s soccer with cars, so easy to jump into but still challenging if you want to master it. Give it a try; you might get hooked. I am usually not so much into auto games but enjoyed it for a quick wrap-up.
