It has been years since I have played so I am probably not the best to answer this, but I did try to find an answer on a Rocket League Twitch channel.
One person there mentioned that you could do 1 vs 1 with first-goal wins, which would probably be the fastest way to play. Except for that, the average match will be around 5-7 minutes, so if you compare that to a DUST 2.0 DM or similar type of CSGO match, it is much faster. As for match waiting time, I am not sure, but if you look at
