Satisfactory has a BIG problem

After a patch was released a few weeks ago all my drones were just hanging in mid air and a dev saw my comments and told me to come off experimental and go back to default version ... i did that and everything ran as it should.

Earlier this week the game was upgraded to 1.2 with yet another unreal 5 engine update , i was a bit angry because now that i am back on default version i could not install 1.2.

I then breathed a sigh of relief because in 3 days on their Q and A site players have posted 27 pages of things that dont work right after they got 1.2.

SO if you are one of the unlucky ones who got 1.2 and you are having problems go into your steam or epic settings for the game and go back to default version.

You probably know this is my favourite game of all time , having said that in 25 years of been a pc gamer i have never seen a game update break so many things.

But it isn't an update yet, it's an experimental branch. Essentially, a beta test. It says explicitly that you need to back up your saves before using it, too. Egosoft does similar with X4, but they password protect their beta tests with the password being "IBackedUpMySave" or something like that.

@Zloth I back up the factorygame folder to a pen drive after every play session , i have a short cut in my docs to navigate to it fast and then i just do send to pen.

Yes it is experimental but your wrong saying its not an update because it was 1.1 now its 1.2.

That said , i would not call it an update it would be more acurate to call it a s**t fest , take a look at the website q and a.

Considering that there is no release date for 1.2 I suspect that the developers were well aware that their update is a mess. This seems to basically be an alpha version. I'd wait until the official release before you try it again.

@Pifanjr i agree with you 100% they obviously did not test 1.2 before releaesing it , i went back onto default version and thats where i am staying cos i dont want 5,300 hours screwing up.
