ROG Strix x870-i clearance with NH-L12s

I'm considering a build using the ROG Strix x870-i mini-ITX board and the NH-L12S cooler, similar to @PCG Jacob's build. The cooler seems to reach roughly the edge of the motherboard, and I am having a hard time figuring out if it would interfere or prevent the FPS card from being installed. I would need to use the SATA connectors of that board. Does anyone have any experience with this setup?
