Bear (Bare?) with me - this is not a Linux fanboy post....
I have been asking this for years... why doesn't windows have a version of something like "Feral Gamemode" for Linux, essentially it goes through processes and turns of unneeded stuff, prioritizes cpu scheduler, switches your power profile, works magic with disk io, etc... (this is a VERY simplified explanation)
Razer has finally provided us that in Cortex...its free if you have a Razer product (maybe even if you dont?) I really like it and feel like we have needed something like this on Windows for a long time. I haven't seen an improvement in fps so much as my frame times are more stable and 1% lows look better. Happy frame chasing!!
