Hi everyone, new to the forum and quite new to the UK. I moved here about a year ago from South Africa. I'm looking to build a rig for my daughter for her birthday and wanted to ask where is the best place/s to buy components?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks so much, in terms of pricing are they competitive?
Very competitive. The Brits have more choices than anyone in regards to PC hardware stores from my experience with posting builds. Amazon.uk, Scan, Box, Ebuyer .. the list goes on and on. And for those speciality items that you can't find on PC PartPicker you can usually find them on PriceSpy UK.

btw what's your budget and resolution for your daughter's PC?
Probably around £800-£1000. I'm still getting used to converting Rands to Pounds which is why I sometimes struggle to figure out what's competitive (R24 to £1 at the moment!) I'm thinking something like a R5 5600x or 7600x and 3060 setup, nothing over the top. *1080p will be fine for her

This is a starting point to consider. Kids seem to like lights. You can also swap the case and cooler to something in white.

Amazing, thank you. Yes, her two requirements are white and RGB 😅. That's brilliant thank you, that leaves a good chunk for the GPU
