A quiet Igorrr Song.... well, some of it is

Album snuck out without me noticing.

this one mostly lives up to its name
Its nice to hear so many different instruments being used

The vocal effect at the end of this song is real and not a special effect put on afterwards, I saw the making of it.

The last 4 songs on this album are mostly relaxing (its all relative)

Just got posted. (And available on Band Camp if you are interested)

Last show was last night so now able to share it. Was fantastic! The charity made a lot of money, and all money was handed over to other needing institutes during the show. The Finale (This piece) turned out to be more befitting (Time and place) than I originally thought I would.

As mentioned in other posts on the same piece, I had to uplift the crowd's mood again before leaving and it did exactly that.

"I am human, and I need to be loved, just like everyone else does"

Get caught faking it last year, change the lead vocal so its not the "same" as before... wait long enough that people forget story.,.. go back to faking it again.

They old, how long have they been faking it for? Maybe forever... so can't expect old guys to actually sing now after years of being fake.

Live concerts means that they are alive, and on stage.... can't expect them to actually do something as well. You plebs didn't pay enough to actually get a performance.

Why would you expect old guys to sing when someone half their age don't either

I expect she will repeat that with the next album.... life of a scam artist... isn't that what its called?

Sad to see it but happens more often than you think. Do not get me wrong and think I am condoning it, but I do understand as to why it is being done.

The least paid job in the world is an artist. We all joke and say "Well at least my kids will have money since then my music will be worth more"

You pay say $100 per ticket at a show. You are a fan and want to see your favorite artist and pay it with a smile. Of that $100 the venue needs to be paid, staff, equipment, lighting, security etc. Everything comes from that $100 you paid for your position somewhere in the crowd.

Mimed shows originally started back at BBC days in the 60's/70's. Instead of hiring a whole sound crew while a band plays live on BBC, the artists mime and they save money on the sound crew. (This is the earliest I am aware of it happening, might even happened before but BBC is first as per my knowledge)

Artists started realising that they are now able to "perform" even when sick. Producing a mimed show for fans instead of cancelling a show or tour, well financially just made more sense. Miming became the way to not "let down the fans". Vocals are usually the first to suffer when sick and this stopped this problem. In addition, saved the artists from losing money for simply being human.

When everyone started to have a say about the music industry it was decided (Insisted) that you will have 1 person doing 1 specific job on a production (Show) E.g. Audio with its own crew, lights with its own crew, techies with their own crew, etc.. When these laws came into effect, artists abided by it, but ticket prices went from R50 to R590 per ticket. Not even mentioning the R900 golden circle tickets and well VIP tickets became unaffordable. Using South African Currency here since it is factual ticket price increases. Sold out shows became a thing of the past and only the "Creme de la creme" was able to go watch their favourite artists. Instead of HUGE shows they started "A night with" evening usually at someone's home or a restaurant. Music was unplugged, included a meal and tickets was affordable. This nearly killed the industry.

To fix this, Artists started using what they have had available to them in emergencies all this time and started miming some shows to cut cost and to be able to produce a show to fans at better prices. Here in South Africa, I can get a front row seat (Golden Circle ticket) for R450. Obviously, artist dependent.

So back to the $100 you paid for your ticket, even after miming, the artist you went to see will probably, after paying everyone their dues, put 3% of it in their pockets. The artist put on a show, for you, that you enjoyed, to be able to take home $3. The hundred $3 the artist made for that night needs to carry them forward till their next show or album which does not come cheap.

Like I say not condoning it but there is a reason why it is being done.

The people in those videos are hardly struggling artists nor do tickets to their shows only cost $100. Pretty sure they get their fair share.

same goes for

TV is fake, I get that anything made for it is manufactured for effect.
So music on it is pre recorded and has to sound perfect so pitch correction and/or Live auto tune ... that approach now works in concerts and anything "live" seen on TV.. and Youtube. Everyuwhere
Olympic performances, faked.
Eagles concerts, faked ... everyone gets the same show now

It might be a different show to the Concert DVD but its no different to any other "live" performance by the band. Come back tomorrow and see/hear same show.

Just be nice if they admitted it rather than having to guess who actually is playing live now.

Some old guys still play live:

with some still playing live, its impossible to know who is real or not. Easier just to assume they all fake... cheaper too.

Agreed, giving the same perfect performance "Experience" to all the fans without a hitch is the name of the game but telling people "Hey we are miming the shows to make it affordable" again kills the industry.

Wrote a very long reply to this but restarted since I know this is a very lengthy topic.

Some food for thought:

When an artist signs up with a label, they are contract bound for X number of years. These include shows, performances, tracks, singles and B-sides, which now all belong to the label and not the artist. Song writing, self-promotion, research, public appearances all come from the artist's pocket. A lavish lifestyle that does not come cheap. Without it you do not make it in the industry so you MUST do it.

Let's take one step higher up the ladder on a show. Each artist has a manager which arranges everything on your behalf. Tells you where to be, what to do and for how long you must do it. The manager is very important since that is the person that puts food on your table every day and makes sure you can afford what you need. This is also the person in charge of arranging the shows. Would think the manager is more to blame for the mimed shows and not the artist. Another step up, the manager follows what the label says he/she must do.

In the video's I see artists being gunned but not 1 mention of their managers or their labels.

Ok, let me cut this one short here. Turning into a lengthy reply again. LMAO

its not worth selling your soul for fame. Especially if you still bound to touring years after you should have retired.

the industry isn't worth keeping alive if its built on lies. I know its not the artists fault, its the managers who probably tell them they have to fake it. And the publishers who keep wanting to profit off the lies. And the ticket companies who want to sell tickets for stupid amounts... Its all money.

Sorry, I realise its your industry... or at least, you play a small part in it. Lots of artists do it for real. Its a shame a lot at the top have to keep going forever... and resort to faking it.

Probably the main reason why I would never go beyond what I am doing. I make enough to survive.
