You should get a new PC. Your CPU will be a major bottleneck on new hardware so it makes no sense to upgrade.

What is your budget? Do you have any brand preferences?

Between $600-800 roughly, maybe a tad bit more if the component is worth the extra price. Dont really care about the brand, as long as it runs well than its fine.

Assuming that you are American, sorry if I'm mistaken, I put together some core components for you. You can reuse your power supply or hard drive if you wish but everything else is catered for 1080p gaming.

You will notice a significant improvement with these parts over your current PC. Just click on the links below and you will be directed to Newegg.com.

Price in USD - $847.96

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 @ $167.00
Motherboard - MSI B450 Tomahawk Max @ 192.99
RAM - Team Vulcan 16GB DDR4 @ 57.99
GPU - MSI RX 5600XT 6GB @ 279.99
Storage - Western Digital Black 1TB M.2 @ 149.99

You're welcome! If you decide to go with these parts just be patient for your first boot. AMD is kinda weird about POST and it took awhile for my PC to POST the first time. Just install the latest drivers from AMD and you should be alright.

AMD is still improving their drivers so keep that in mind as well. AMD isn't perfect but they are the best option for people on a budget.

Happy Gaming!
