PC crashes and freezes while playing games and when doing GPU benchmark

Hello, i've been having this random problem with my pc for a couple of weeks. Everytime i play games it freezes and it crashes my pc + i can't alt+tab or it wouldn't shut down. There's no bluescreen at all so i had to force shut down my pc in order to turn it back on. Problem only occurs when i'm playing games and i tried doing FurMark GPU Benchmark and it also freezes my PC. Any solutions would be appreciated!

8 GB RAM
GTX 960 2GB
100GB SSD

That's a very weak card if you're playing recent games, almost definitely below minimum spec.

What games are you trying to play?

I play a lot of FPS games and it's been fine for a while until suddenly it crashes. Could it be that my card is faulty and dead probably?

Oh yeah, very possible. Depends on what games you've played, if they continually maxed out the card, that would wear it out quickly.

Use something like hwinfo to check your cpu and gpu temperatures. Anything over 80c on either is a worry. With gear that old its possible the heatsinks need a good clean or the thermal paste needs replacing.

Also possible something is on the way out unfortubately.
