Oh BTW i can get a AMD Ryzen 7 3800x 3.9GHz instead of the AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6GHz for 5 euros extra lol, but i don't if it's worth it. If it is please let me know! :)

To be fair the 3700X is exactly the same CPU as the 3800X but for 5 euros more I guess you get a better binned part.

This build looks really good and would work well as is, but as you asked for thoughts..

Unless you have a half dozen SATA hard drives or you are going to be using 2 PCI-E 4.0 NVME drives to copy data back and forth between them a lot I cant find any benefit to buying an X570 motherboard over a B550 one. The B550 Strix-F, has similar connectivity (USB's etc) and the same audio set up, same memory support and will overclock similarly with your chip if youre going to do that. Its about 80 euros cheaper too. You'd have to live without dual LAN but I doubt you would have any use for that?

I would then use that money to get 32GB of faster RAM. 3600 C17 is available for under the amount saved on the motherboard. Ryzen likes faster RAM up to 3600/3733 (or possibly 3800 from what I can find) due to its design and also performs slightly better with dual channel memory that 16GB modules would give you. Only a few percent here and there for each but its there.

I'm guessing you need that 4TB HDD for a lot of data you have already? I would prefer to get a cheaper 4TB and pick up a 1TB SSD. Samsung drives are great and all but you pay for the name, and some others are just as good.

I dont know much about that cooler, but its got 4 heatpipes and a 120mm fan so its probably alright.

My version would look like this then:

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (€179.00 @ Azerty)
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL17 Memory (€178.85 @ Megekko)
Storage: Kingston A2000 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€117.95 @ Megekko)

But as I said it looks pretty good as you had it too if thats what you were set on.

yes this is a good suggestion, though you need to consider their TDP, 3800x is 105w while 3700x is 65w.

Yeah i realised that too, so i would have a higher TDP for a slightly bit faster CPU right?
I don't know if that's worth it or not tbh, not really sure why it wouldn't be worth it considering the litte amount of money i'd have to pay extra. So i guess i should go for the 7 3800x right?

Is my CPU cooler capable of cooling the 7 3800x down?

Thanks for your suggestions! I'll definitely look into a B550 motherboard, like you guessed i don't need all those features which means i could save some money.

Faster RAM is a good one, i'll look for some good 3600MHz ones. More RAM can't hurt either so i guess i'll go for 32GB.

Thanks for that cheaper HDD didn't even know i could save so much money on that! :)
