Hello all,

I'm currently looking at a custom build on CyberpowerPC - it's currently under budget but ideally I would like to get under $2000 if possible - this is just for the computer itself not including accessories. Looking to play games like WoW, Lost Ark, Elden Ring with high graphics settings, as well as VR gaming thru steam via my oculus quest. Hoping this PC will last me at least 5, maybe 10 years like my current computer from Cyberpower. Looking for advice on anything highlighted in red. It is listed as the Gaming Master 9000, granted I've swapped out a few parts for name brand.

I know building my own PC would be cheaper but I'm not experienced. Looking for advice on where I can save money - what is overkill - what could be better - and ultimately making sure the brands that I have chosen are reliable and compatible, and that one part isn't going to bottleneck another's performance.

Thanks all!

Here's another option if you don't want to build it yourself. Order the components and start calling around to local mom & pop PC/laptop repair shops and ask them how much they would charge to build your PC if you bring them down the components. This way you know EXACTLY what's going inside your computer case. I live in Alaska and I can think of two such shops within a twenty minute drive from me.

Considering the quality of everything else in these specs, I would consider bumping that memory from 16GB to 32GB. 16GB is "just enough" at this point, but not for all the things you're hoping to do with it (though the 3070's VRAM will help considerably). I have 16GB and a video card with 6GB, and both the RAM and VRAM get eaten up rather quickly, *especially* when you add in VR, which doubles the rendering.
