Hello, I'm currently looking to upgrade from my Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics card to something that will allow me to play games such as f1 2020 and COD Warzone on good (ideally best) settings. I'm a bit new to all of this though and feel very out of my depth so thought I'd post my current specs and see what people suggest.

Current specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: 16GB

I'm buying a new monitor which will either have a 5K UHD 2160p or FHD 1080p resolution, depending on what model I go with.

Budget is £500 ($660), can stretch to a little bit more if needed but would rather not.

What is my best bet for an upgrade?

With that budget you'd do well having a 3070 or 6800XT, but the 6800XT only launches on November 18th and the 3070 is out of stock in most places. If you can wait to find either in stock I would grab one. It would make for a fantastic upgrade and get you ready for 4k resolution at 60 frames per second.

That said, I would rethink your monitor choices. 1080p is way too low of a resolution for these GPUs and 5k is not a standard resolution. Personally I've been a fan of LGs 4K and 1440p monitors. They have great resolution, come with FreeSync 2 and have great refresh rates to boot.

Thanks this is a great help! Do you think this monitor would do the job? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07NPHZ...colid=38820NMKC162U&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
That looks like a great monitor, but to be candid I'm a little sus when it comes to AOC monitors. AOC is known to be a value brand and will forgo features or quality materials in order to sell a product at the lowest price. If you can swing it go for this Samsung: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC32JG52QQUXEN-32-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B07FCR8KW1

Same monitor specs from well known and trusted brand (especially for LCD panels).
