I've used computers for many years, but this will be my first build. I'm taking it slow to try to understand what I'm doing. I will be building a pc that will run windows 11. I will need a GPU for drawing with Rhino3D software. I'll also be doing a little video editing.
I have downloaded the manuals for a couple of motherboards that indicate I'll need to be connected to the internet for starting up. I will also need to download Win11. That may be my biggest block as I have limited internet at home. I may be able to go to a friend's house but hope I don't have to.
So my big question of the moment is this. Hope it doesn't sound too dumb. Suppose I'm connected to the internet for first start up and things power up okay. At that point would there be enough smarts in the thing to be able for it to download Win11, or must I download Win11 on another computer to make a USB thing?
I'm building on a budget. So far I think I've identified an Asus Prime B760 for a mother board, and an Asus RTX 3060 V2 for my GPU. Along with an Asus WIFI adapter. Still looking at cases, power, memory, etc.
thanks,
Jozef
edited a bit. The manual for the Prime b760 doesn't mention connection to the internet but a different mother board brand the gigabyte z790 did.
