New to pc building

Hi, I am after some advice on building a gaming pc. I have a budget of around £700 but can do more if needed. I have been out of the pc gaming scene for a number of years. I have been looking at components but cannot decide on what's best.
I will be sharing this pc with my child. So wanting some that can run all types of games. Ultimately I am wanting it for the new WoW expansion if possible

Would you need to have a monitor and peripherals (monitor, mouse, keyboard speakers for example) included in the budget?

Unfortunately £700 is a little low at the moment, you can put together a decent budget tower for around 700,

But if you're needing a monitor and other peripherals the budget is a bit thin. Windows you can use without registering it for free, but you probably eventually want to activate it, which will run around £100 as well on top of this. One option in that case would be to grab an AMD APU like the Ryzen 5600G which has decent integrated graphics and go without a dedicated graphics card for now, then use that money for peripherals if needs be.
