Hi all, looking at building a new gaming PC (that will also be used for work) this is a starting point but will go from there.

Please let me know your thoughts on anything I am missing / can change

Why Are You Upgrading: Moved house and now have space for a PC rather than a very heavily overworked top end gaming laptop!

Budget: $3000 - 3500

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Use Case: Gaming, mostly Total War games (ideally on high settings) and LoL

Are you buying a monitor: No, already own a Samsung 49" Odessy

Parts Preferences: Open on this, probably ASUS for the MB and GPU but flexible

Overclocking: Yes / Maybe

Your build works but a few things I'd like to point out. You're going to want to add a rear exhaust fan for that case. You'd think for a $220+ case Corsair would have included one. Also no need for an SSD with heatsink seeing how pretty much all new boards these days come with M.2 heatsinks. I see you have a mechanical HD listed ... not sure why when SSD's are selling for rock bottom prices atm. btw 1000W psu is overkill for that build. One other thing .. overclocking these 13 gen cpu's nets you minimal gains, especially when you figure in the cost of cooling in order to achieve a stable overclock. These 13 gen cpu's are pushed to their limits out of the box.

Here's a build to have a look at. You can always add a 2.5" SATA SSD later on if and when you need more storage.
