vs

MSI GL65 Leopard 10SEK-022, 15.6" Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-10750H, RTX 2060, 16 GB Memory, 1 TB HDD + 512 GB SSD

newegg both:
gf65 for 1099$
gl65 for 1299$

If you get the first one, you'll want to add 8gb RAM to go to 16gb, And the 2nd one has an HDD as well as the SSD, that the first doesn't. That said, it will still be significantly cheaper than the 2nd one, and the extra expense for a very slightly faster CPU is arguably not worth it.

GTAV is unlikely to care to many real degree if at all. While X-plane might be more interested, I can't see it would make a meaningful difference - but then I don't play Xplane. It's hard to see how a few hundred MHz on the CPU would give extra performance 'worth' $100+.

yeah i think, what make the difference is if i want to upgrade with a second hard drive the cheaper one gf65 then price will be 1099+ price of new ssd plus another 8gb stick so at the end will be same price almost right?

The price difference is $200. 8GB laptop RAM is ~$32 on Newegg apparently (assuming the 8gb RAM laptop has just 1 stick, with 1 slot free). A 1Tb 7200rpm laptop HDD (2.5" HDD) is $59 on Newegg. A 1TB 5400rpm laptop drive being $40.

So if you buy the $1099 laptop, add 8gb RAM, and an HDD, it's still $110-130 cheaper.

i see, i will be paying 200$ more for just a rgb keyboard and a laptop with more weight lol theres no huge diff between those two as you said. For entry level i should be Ok with the Thin gf65.

Oh but i saw a diff, the thin gf65 just accepts NVme (2 slots) 1 slot is full of course, those disks they are more expensive right? the gl65 have only 1 nvme slot plus a regular 2.5 slot

gf65

2 x M.2 slots • 1 supports PCIe / SATA SSD device • 1 supports PCIe SSD device

gl65

HDD 1 x SATA interface for 2.5” HDD device SSD 1 x M.2 slot, supports PCIe or SATA SSD device

Good point. Then again, you could still put a $100 Sata M.2 SSD into the thin, and still have it be ~$70 cheaper and sport faster storage than the other one even with the RAM you also added - assuming it's a case of adding the RAM (1 x 8gb stick and not 2 x 4gb)

yeah strange thing why something expensive would have only 1 ssd nvme + 1 slot for regular sata, weird
