Question Is MSI Pro Z690 P compatible with Kingston NV2 M.2 ?

Hi everyone. Im a bit of a noob when it comes to hardware. I already have a Kingston NV1 1 TB but I would like to add another Kingston NV2 M.2 2 TB into my MSI Z690 Pro. Will this be compatible? Any risks for bottlenecking etc? Thanks 🙂

My gear
Intel 12700KF
16 GB Ram
Rtx 3070
Kingston NV1 SSD 1 TB

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Is MSI Pro Z690 P compatible with Kingston NV2 M.2 ?
into my MSI Z690 Pro.

I see two possible Z690's with a -P at the end of the SKU.

Regardless of which SKU board you have, they both will support a max of PCIe 4.0x4 M.2 SSD's on either M.2 slots on the board, so yes that NV2 will work on the board. Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS version for your motherboard prior to dropping the latter generation NVe drive into the board.

Thank for helping me out! I guess I'll have to jump on that SSD and order it then.
