If you could resurrect any canceled TV show, which one would you choose and why?
For me, it's gotta be 'Firefly'. This sci-fi western was criminally underrated and cut way too short. Here's why I'd bring it back:
  1. Unique setting: The blend of space opera and western themes was fresh and exciting.
  2. Great characters: The crew of Serenity was diverse and well-developed.
  3. Potential for expansion: There were so many unexplored storylines and mysteries.
  4. Joss Whedon's writing: His wit and storytelling were at their peak.
Plus, imagine the amazing PC games we could get from a revived Firefly universe! An open-world space western RPG? Yes, please! Think 'The Outer Worlds' meets 'Red Dead Redemption 2' in space. What about you? Which canceled show would you bring back, and what kind of game would you want to see from it?

Westworld, simply because it was one of my favorites, and i would like for it to have a proper ending.

Expanse, for same reasons as above.

Or, Dark Matter, because it was basicly attempt to remake Firefly, even characters were really simillar, but unlike Firefly it still has younger actors and could be renewed without massive changes to the plot.

Fawlty Towers
Hilarious 12 x 30m show, John Cleese.

Prey
Prey was an interesting show canceled after only 1 season. Premise was the next species of hominin is already starting among us, and of course are being hunted and persecuted by homo sappy ends.

This was probably Debra Messing's first lead role, and it also had Vincent Ventresca whom I liked from The Invisible Man.

Dead Like Me
Fun quirky early 2000s 2-season show—girl gets deaded, becomes even grimmer reaper. Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin.

Dollhouse
2-seasons with Eliza Dushku and Amy Acker, secret org keeps stable of 'dolls', people they can program to be anyone and erase it after the mission.

The 4400
Nice scifi which got 40+ episodes but had scope for a lot more. 4,400 people missing for 1-100 years suddenly reappear, but each has been changed—could it have ran for 4,400 episodes?

Trophy Wife
One season of Malin Akerman and Marcia Gay Harden in a funny bitchy family sitcom.

Did the books even get a proper ending? They were great for the first four (?) books, but I didn't read much past that.
I don't know, never read them. But they are certainly ahead of the series. And if anything, creators of the show could just ask the author about what ending he want to make.
Instead, the last season's budget were cut a lot, so it was cut as well. That seems rather pathetic because super rich guy who bought out the series told that books were his favorite. But he could not even give them proper ecranisation despite all his riches.
Dollhouse
Great show by the way. Started to watch because of Dichen, one of few attractive actresses out there, but she show was rather good.

Not sure but there are 9 books plus short stories. I read somewhere that the 6th season was inspired by book number 6 and the short story "Strange Dogs". I don't really want to read the plot of the 9th book since I have only read the 1st novel, so far. Having said that there are articles indicating that the 9th book is the "final" book in the series.

I don't think that I would want Dollhouse returned. The two seasons and the graphic novel covers the story fairly completely. It is a morality tale about the misuse of technology. I watch and read Dollhouse content every 3 to 4 years.

Perhaps we should have another thread that asks which series were too long and when should they of stopped?
