I'm looking to get an RTX 4070 Ti with 32 GB 6000MHz DDR5 RAM and either an i513600KF or i7 13700KF to game at 1440p.

Do you guys think it's worth it to pay more for the i7, or will the difference be insignificant compared to the i5?

I wouldn't recommend an unlocked i7 / i9 for a gaming build. These cpu's are already pushed to the limit out of the box. Now factor in all the e-cores the i7 and especially the i9 has and they run hot. If someone was to overclock one of those cpu's they better count on having a $300+ board and a 420 AIO and even then the gains are minimal at best.

i7 12700 / 12700F vs the unlocked i7 gaming benchmarks.

Seems like theres very little difference and probably comes down to the individual game and the fact that theres really not much a difference between the 13900 and 13700 and the 13700 and the 13600. The bigger difference is between the 13600 and 13900, but the price difference isnt worth it imo.

So it depends on what you want to spend but either of those choices is fine for a 4070ti, obviously if you buy one that runs hotter, have a system built that can handle it.
