many companies sure are taking the "John Lennon stay in bed route"
I don't quite remember which gaming company/event I'm about to mention but I read an article how they are pushing their event forward two days and spending those two days instead honoring people of colour who work in gaming.

I also agree it is dumb, but only if they spend those days doing nothing.
Instead they should add an extra day to the event to show their support and raise some money for the cause.

Although part of me thinks at least they are doing something! even if that is doing nothing...
It could be seen as taking a vow of silence
