Hi everybody! I decided I want to build a PC and I have two different options. My budget is around 1000 to 1200 euros. I am interested in playing the latest games in a decent manner, I don´t need ultra settings or ray tracing etc. I am new in this, my current PC is actually a 5 year old laptop and I game on a ps4 slim, so I think this would be an upgrade anyway. So, I would like your opinion in this choices:
Choice 1
CPU Intel i5 9600k
GPU Geforce RTX 2060
Motherboard Asus Prime z390-a
RAM 16 GB DDR4-3000

Choice 2
CPU Ryzen 5 3600x
GPU RX 5600 XT
Motherboard ROG Strix B450 Gaming
RAM 16 GB DDR4-3200

I would appreciate if you could tell me which one you think is better and why, any suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks.

It's not either-or. You don't have to have an RTX 2060 with an Intel CPU build or an RX 5600 XT with an AMD CPU build. You can mix and match, it's fine.

Between the i5 9600k and the R5 3600(x) I'd recommend the R5 3600. Since performance in today's games is very similar, and the R5 3600 has more 'threads', probably making it more futureproof.

Also, it depends on local pricing, but the R5 3600x is often not worth the money versus the R5 3600. The performance difference is so tiny as to barely be worth mentioning, but the difference in price can be ~40€.

The ROG Strix motherboard, as with most things Asus slaps the 'Strix' brand name on, is expensive. And possibly not worth the money.

Between the RX 5600 XT and RTX 2060, it depends on local pricing. However, I'd probably suggest the RX 5600 XT if it is ~30-40€ cheaper because performance is the same. The RTX 2060 technically has ray tracing support, but really its ray tracing hardware is so weak I wouldn't buy the card just for that. The only reason I have one is because AMD's Navi GPUs did not exist when I bought it.

Thanks a lot! This really helps
