Have you ever been killed by Sticky Keys?

I have it turned off now, but this morning I had a mission to burn 4 giant hornet nests. Fighting all those hornets really wasn't an option and there's no sprinting in the game, but if you press the shift key, you dash. I managed to burn all 4 nests, but as I was dashing away with about a dozen giant hornets chasing me, I was suddenly taken to the desktop and asked if I wanted to turn on Sticky Keys. By the time I alt-tabbed back, I was dead and had to pay $150 to respawn.

I can't remember any specific instances, but I'm sure it happened. I'm fairly certain I've had a game crash when that happened as well.

Happed a couple of times while playing PUBG. Can't remember if I died to it, but was annoying before I turned it off completely.

I think I turned it off via the accessibility settings somewhere in the Windows control panel. Haven't seen it since.

I was surprised it happened because whenever I get a new laptop, turning it off is on my list of day one activities.

It can't be that much of a problem for most people or you would think Xbox Game bar would disable it when its running.

You would really only enable it in the rare games where <shift> is used for something that you need to hit repeatedly like dodging.

sounds like it needs to be a function call when games are running that use button, to disable the feature. It just seems obvious.

Not sure if its possible, maybe.

Mercifully, i've never been screwed over so bad with sticky keys, but its absolutely annoying and should be a manual setting as opposed to me pressing a button too many times.

Assassins Creed series is notorious to triggering those bloody sticky ticket alerts. I think demons tilt triggered it when you press the same few keys too many times on the keyboard.
