Question gta sa save failed

i'm playing on steam and i've restarted the first part of the game about like 10 times now and I can't save each time

I dont have this installed at the moment because i was running out of space on my hard drive.
Does it have an auto save , if yes set it to something like 20 minutes and if it works like satisfactory it will do 4 auto saves before overwriting them.

If you dont have steam cloud saves activated then activate it , again , if it works like my satisfactory game when you exit to desktop wait for the cloud icon and the 100% to go from the gta name before you close steam client.

I also have a desktop short cut to my factorygame ( satisfactory ) folder and i make regular back ups to a flash drive just in case something goes wrong.
