General Deckbuilding Game Discussion

I missed that Monster Train 2 had be rebalanced to be more difficult. I was confused when I went on a long losing streak, which I finally broke yesterday. Covenant 10, the highest difficulty, is now truly brutal, which is as is should be.

Also, there is another whole part of the game that I've yet to dive into after 400+ hours, so I'm definitely getting my money's worth.

I'm a little irritated at myself. In the daily challenge for Monster Train 2 , after battle one, if you didn't take what is a very unpopular upgrade among the community, you couldn't get past the 2nd battle.

I ALWAYS take this upgrade. In fact, I started a thread about it and argued with people for a couple of weeks....

So naturally I took the upgrade, right? Of course not.

Only about a dozen people out of around 600 successfully finished the challenge.

Ended up 12th yesterday, which is okay for me. The only reason I mention it is because I made an error on the very last turn of the game that cost me 3000 points and could have moved me into #1. I knew I was killing the boss, and just hit "end turn" with a blight card in my hand that damaged my pyre.

The annoying thing about Monster Hunter 2 daily challenges is that it isn't played on a level playing field. Everyone, theoretically, is playing a different game since it's randomized when you go in. You try to become as good as you can with any potential situation, but some days you are just screwed.
