No, it appears to be another variant of the original. Its been out a year or so. Could be a regional variant perhaps

Differences: Reports suggest the 'Z' model (PG32UCDMZ) might have minor, unverified, internal revisions, but they are generally regarded as almost identical.

it uses the same firmware

Everywhere has the older models on sale. If I didn't care about scratch resistance I could get one for 900 off right now. I don't want to take risk.
Ahh well its not here yet then anyway.

Shame the chances of getting a white one are slim, they do have a few 27 inch monitors in white but I don't see any 32 inch ones.
For the model anyway. Colour of the monitor really hadn't entered my thinking until I was wondering if they did make them. Generally can't see the bezel and white could be more distracting than black.

its not oled but they have made white ones in the past.
I think you'll get used to whatever it is, at least I would. I much prefer the design of that stand to the newer stuff though, but obviously that's subjective.

Model is PG32UCDM3, everything else is from last year or before.

Probably spend more time looking behind monitor than I will looking at stand. It has RGB on the back.. most likely turn that off. Same applied for the light it shines on the table below the monitor as well.

It was only recently I noticed the stand on my current monitor allowed height adjustments. I picked it up and stand moved. It was at max height already. It probably turns left and right... only thing it can't do is swivel into portrait mode.

Once its at the right height I won't look at stand

A flat base would be nice but I have to deal with what they supply.

If my current monitor had HDR I doubt I would be looking at a new one.

Maybe you just need a wall and a screen to display on

The 12 million in title is how much it had earned on kickstarter when video made, not its cost. Price is unknown right now, and kickstarter close to 20. They only asked for 600k

  1. Ordered the new Display Port cable as while I wait, I might as well be prepared for it. Will have a 2m 16k cable waiting
  2. Also ordered a new surge protector as I like to get a new one when I buy a new PC, but I felt I had spent enough in May so let it slip. Needed one with 8 outlets since I am running out on the 6 outlet one I have. Will give my old one to mum to use if/when she ever uses my old PC.
  3. And I got a spare USB C cable so I can charge phone and DAP at same time. They always seem to run out at same times.
They were 3 things I knew I needed.
DP cable not full 80gbps but then neither is the GPU. IF/when I get a better GPU I will need a new cable.
Can do 4k 240hz though. Main reason I got it.
