Question Forza Horizon 4 coming on steam

So Forza Horizon 4 is coming to steam and in the steam page, it says that there is multiplayer between win/mac. How isi this possible?

I thought, that the microsoft games are only for windows

They have been releasing on steam for some time now, I'm sure their products get more visibility there.
