I purchased Expedition 33 mainly for the OST. Somewhere I miss clicked and the game downloaded and installed. Figured I will give it a bash without expecting much.

Believe it or not, CPU 4900 (9th Gen), 4GB RAM, SSD and UHD 610 iGPU runs it. OK load times are extreme and probably 1FPS but it runs........ (Yeah also shocked. Even passed the "Benchmark" test during first run.

I see it is written in Unreal. If my memory serves me right, Unreal was one of the first engines you could "Mod" or tweak with things like texture sizes, Bloom etc. Could make games look like a LEGO retro game by adjusting various setting in it. Think since I have the game and it is already paid for; I will try and get it to run to a playable point (If possible). Figure anything that I do from here on can either stop it from working and or be an improvement. Looked into Nexus and already saw some performance mods posted there. I will see if it is Vortex compatible, if so, will start running Xedit and Loot on it. Who knows maybe I will get it working to maybe 20FPS, which is about average I get on my machine.

Yes complete and utter failure on this "project". It will go past the intro etc and crash just after the "new game" selection. Logs indicate it is a memory problem.

Used re-shade to drop some textures, changed settings to bring down resolution (had to be done in a file since the GUI did not allow me to change resolution). Could not find smaller textures (64x64, or 128x128) so those are probably still in the making by some clever person.

But apart from the RAM, the system will run it. I have not tried Vulkan on it but doubt that will make much of a difference with regards to the memory problem.

Result: FAILED
