Dungeon crawler recommendation

I have Legend of grimrock 1 and 2 and crystal rift and if you like those types of games i can recommend Dungeon of dragon knight that i am currently hammering.

Despite what some steam posts are saying i have not found any bugs or had any crashes it is on steam for £ 9.29

1 tip i will give you is make use of the quick save key on a regular basis and at the end of a playing session go to the main menu and name a save and then tomorrow go to the main menu and find it in load.

If you liked Grimrock 1 & 2, you might like the Vaporum games, which are currently very cheap on GOG
Thanks ... i paid £5.44 on go and they are £28 on steeam

there is the wizardary series as well. but i have my eye on several dungeon crawlers. Not sure the quality of them though:

legends of amberland
The fall of the dungeon guardians
inferno - beyond the 7th circle
The 7th circle - endless nightmare.
ludus Mortis

Failing that, perhaps go towards the classic route? Like Dungeon master 1 and 2 or hired guns? i would argue the original space hulk is sort of a dungeon crawler but that game is a bit tough.

Last year I played quite a few, as I explored the genre. I absolutely subscribe to recommending Vaporum - they're excellent.
I would also highlight Elminage Original, Dungeon Antiqua and Dragon Ruins as two affordable, short and straightforward games with a nod to the old classics.

Apart from that, there are quite a few japanese style ones, but that often tends to come with the caveat of characters being somewhat annoying/juvenile with a lot of text-based story. Nonetheless I enjoyed Undernauts and Operation Babel (for what they are).

I would also argue that there are RPGs that aren't traditional dungeon crawlers. Not first person but 3rd person view but where gameplay is basically just wandering through dungeons, with somewhat more standard RPG battle systems.
If someone likes the sound of that, I'd especially recommend Soul Hackers 2 but also Dark Rose Valkyrie.

In all, they're somewhat off-beat choices if someone's feeling up for getting into something different.

How was it? Unfortunately I can't play it. Games with two-bit color palettes give me a terrible headache after a shot time.
I refrained from posting about it because I thought would perhaps not be fair to it, and that with a demo available, people could play it for themselves.

That said, even though I understand its historical fundaments I'm not a fan of the top down Ultima/Hydlide gameplay.
For instance, I really liked Dragon Ruins and Demon Lord Reincarnation which are straight first person dungeon crawler but I couldn't get into Ringlorn Saga, which is by the same developer, for that reason.

Apart from that, Cyclopean felt to me it was at this time prioritizing style over substance, not just in overall presentation but also in actual gameplay mechanics, menus, character creation, etc.

As it is a demo for an early access game, perhaps this is a premature conclusion and it will be different later. As it was for these reasons I couldn't get into it.

I think the more tragic realization is that if two-bit color palettes give you a terrible headache than you probably didn't play The Return of the Obra Dinn... and that's a sad thing indeed!... (I tend to suffer from motion sickness in first person games myself)
