Control Game - video issue

I just picked up the game Control over on Epic games (was free).

When I play it, it gets so far, then the screen just blocks out to black! I still have the hud, and movement and audio - just a black screen.

I have an nvidia GTX 1050 Ti

Is this a glitch or another reason why this is happening? It's driving me nuts

Have you tried changing any of the video settings at all? In particular, lighting and shadow settings.

Hi all sorry for the delay

My PC is an AMB Ryzen 5 3400G with the 1050ti card - also with Windows 10 and 16gigs of Ram

I've just done a driver update - and it seems to have fixed things - so not sure if that's a coincidence or not

I also re-verified the game, as I thought it might be some kind of security thing
