Computer glass side panel question?

Need a little more info on your system. What is the make and model of your case?
Cyberpower PC.

Is that what case looks like? Only ask as cyberpower use a bunch of different cases.

judging from your photo and what my PC looks like, the black outline probably goes on outside of case - its there to conceal the spot where glass meets frame of window, and hide the area side panel meets the top of case

Most side panels only go on one way anyway. what rest of cover looks like probably offers a clue. Insides generally have bent edges and screw holes to allow you to attach front to case

for example
