🙂 I'd like to take a moment to present my extended middle finger to artificial intelligence. It's going to be awhile before you take my daughter's job.

I told CoPilot that I read on MSN that it was being reassigned to help Grok with porn picture prompts. No idea why I enjoyed that so much.

Maybe it's time to try Linux yet again.
I downloaded a version the other day, but haven't done anything with it yet.

Over Easter I told my Dad that AI is not yet AGI and is a long way off. He keeps sending me a lot of stuff to change my mind. But my Dad also believes in Aliens, Ghosts and the superiority of the White Race, so I don't take a lot of that terribly seriously.

As far as I know, that is one of the main ways CachyOS differs from other Linux distros, driver support, and I've read you can even specify the brand and model of CPU you have. At the very least I think it's worth a try.

Yeah, I'll probably give it a go, given Linux installs fast enough and it's very easy to just swap my NVMe in and out. Plus I really would love to migrate over. I told myself this time I'd try it for a longer period, but the issue I described and being unsolvable as far as I could tell, kind of put the kabosh on that.

some things never change. Turn lights off and both of my big toes start to ache.

Need to do more stretching exercises. The muscles in the back of my legs have tightened up and stretching legs out makes my toes ache. Walking doesn't seem to be helping that. Sitting on my bed all day doesn't help... shame that is what i mostly do though.

They did say it can take up to 6 months for one injury to heal. I am only approaching 5 months now and my foot is mostly back to normal. Now I have to do my legs.

Hey, since you're Australian, can you give me the recipe for Blooming Onion Sauce from Outback restaurant? Also, I bought some Australian cheddar. If it's not good, can I send it to you for a refund?

I was going to say Outback don't exist here until I did a search

none of those locations are anywhere near what I classify as Outback, they in the wrong states.

I know you were joking but how about this one:

You can keep the cheese

Hey, if they are actually in Australia, I guess they can fully claim their food is authentically Australian.

That's actually the recipe I've been using. It's close, but not exactly right. It will have to do, I guess. And I won't be needing a refund for the cheese. It's pretty good 🙂

Anyone here have any experience/advice on what brand/model of heat guns or LED work lights to get? I'll be putting a full coverage heli tape kit on the frame of my new bike soon, which is similar to a vinyl wrap process.

I've seen many vids on how it's done, and the manufacturer of the wrap and most whom manage to put it on without botching any pieces tend to only use heat to come back after it sets a while to lay down the edges.

The work light is needed for two reason's, my eyes aren't as good as when I was, well, you know, a much younger lad, and the lights I DO have in my apt aren't exactly super bright. The light is also going to be handy for ANY detailed work on the bike, especially things like bleeding and adjusting the brakes.

I ordered, then immediately canceled after more thought, these two items.

The BR40 bulb I was going to just screw into the BR40 ceiling light can of my bathroom heat lamp. Then I realized it's going to get hot as blazes in there in the summer with no window to put one of my box fans in. The bathroom is great for cleaning the wheels and frame with fork and cockpit parts because I have a bathtub. It's these kind of things I do that are no doubt why I'm still single. Nothing feels better though than putting your stripped bike upside down with grips on tub edge, gallon zip lock wrapped around the saddle, and just givin' her a good washing without anyone looking at you like you're a PIG! 😍

So now I'm looking at these two items.

Both are MUCH more versatile and actually a fair bit cheaper overall. The light set is much brighter, can be put anywhere within 16' of an outlet, has a covered switch on the cord (handy when lamps or room are too hot), and can provide overhead or floor lighting when extended or separate head assembly is removed. The heat gun also has a dial to actually adjust heat level, not just a Hi/Low fan switch like the Black & Decker. It also has side vs rear air intake vents and is stable standing on it's own with barrel up for hands free soldering, heat shrinking, etc.

I decided to add this though, because the heat gun has just a 5.2' cord, so now I'm about $6 more than the first 2 choices. The extension cord will be handy for other things though, so I don't count that. I already ordered all 3.

Despite knowing better, I'm about to swear that the LLM that translates my video prompts is an obnoxious a-hole. My video is a cartoon, and I drew, to the best of my terrible art abilities, a horse statuette and placed it on the table. The rest of the picture had been drawn by Flux. So what happens? The video 100 percent ignores my prompt. Instead, the woman picks up the statuette, looks into the camera, and you can read her lips say "What is this?" I joke around a lot, but that seriously happened.
