You know, I think I'm going to start asking myself the difficult questions, like is a pizza really worth $50?

America is going to get a lot healthier because people won't be able to afford restaurants. Pretty soon it's going to be nothing but ramen.
I mean, not the way I eat.

I was talking to my psychologist and mentioned I tend to overeat. He's like, "Why do you think you do that?"

And I say, "Because I'm a f***ing excellent cook and my food is delicious."

Speaking of, you should try my ramen, it's awesome.

My food is delicious as well, but we have the option of preparing the correct amount of food. Restaurants always give too much, and it is prepared in the worst possible way and with max calories.

I specialize in maybe 8 or 9 meals, and my wife does the rest. I may not have great variety, but what I cook is excellent. My wife and daughter's favorite is the Cajun Chicken Alfredo, and Guido's is my chicken and rice. Being Italian, three of my meals are pasta meals. Throw some Chicken Kiev, some Country Fried Steak, and some Beef Stroganov in there. Ah, four pasta meals. I forgot Fried Spaghetti. Eh, I actually have more meals than I thought. I'll smoke meat for BBQ, fix steaks and meatloaf, etc.

As for ramen, I enjoy it, but just get it from the store.

Black on bottom of foot could also have been from dye in socks. I generally don't tend to wear socks for 2 weeks straight so maybe. It doesn't hurt. Area behind toes and along side my foot is still all bruised.
I put moisturiser on my foot yesterday, looks better now.

Last weekend my mother finally ordered new chest of drawers and a side table for her room, I have been waiting for her to do it as I have been using the same chest of drawers for 25 years and I will happily accept new free furniture. Downside is I need to empty my drawers this week and I don't really have anything to put the stuff into.

Ideally I move the new drawers into room and just swap stuff across. I can do that for one of them but not enough room to put the other in without moving mine first.

If I didn't have a recovering foot it would be easy, just carry the full drawers out to another room and move the stuff back into new drawers, one drawer at a time.

Packing boxes would be easier, all mum has managed so far is a few paper bags.,.. works for clothes but not PC hardware.
Chest of drawers has 8 drawers
  • 4 of the drawers are full of spare pc parts. Some of the computer parts are unknown, especially cables. Some are hdd I took out of old PC. I have lots of PC fans lol. its mostly all parts that came with previous PC. I have so little space for this stuff that the box with all the parts for my new PC is still behind the PC. Probably need to blindly throw some cables out. Bet I need them the week later... 2 Hessian bags full of power cables for my last two PSU. Necessary things like that.
  • Other 4 drawers are empty now. Two had a bunch of old Black Heavy Metal T Shirts in it, one is a broken drawer that won't open and the other one was just full of assorted crap. I haven't unpacked these drawers in over 25 years. They have memories in them that may not have an actual value/use now. I need to find somewhere for this. Mum thinks its crap... but then its not hers.

Most of my clothes I wear are in another room., The Heavy Metal T shirts only in here as there is nowhere else for them. One or two of them are worth something, rest are just memories.

Holy $h!t. I woke up, came down to my computer. I woke it up to check the time, and it was 3:40 pm. It was probably 6 or 7 am when I finally went to sleep, but I expected only to sleep a couple of hours.

My sleeping problem is mostly over. I'm back to having my normal level of insomnia. Unless I feel tired tonight, I probably won't bother trying to go to sleep since I slept so late today.

Well, I just learned something interesting about pretzel salt. I thought there was really no difference between pretzel salt and regular coarse salt. They are both just salt. But once I actually used pretzel salt, I realized there was a big difference. I happened to have some (long story), and I decided to use it on a baked potato I was getting ready to bake, and it was immediately obvious that pretzel salt is different. It stuck to the potato far better than regular coarse salt, and none of it dissolved.

So I asked CoPilot, and as it turns out--naturally, pretzel salt is manufactured to do just that. It is compressed into tiny, uniform cubes that better attach to wet surfaces, and the compression makes it resistant to dissolving. It is crunchier, and it is also lighter because each cube is hollow.

From now on, that's what goes on my potatoes.

Today didn't seem to get as hot inside as previous years. It got to 37c and minimum tonight is only 19c, but not having Water cooling means the PC doesn't slowly get warmer over the course of the day, and it also cools down a lot faster. Games would probably overheat room but I am busy packing the contents of my drawers into boxes, and games can wait a few days until I have unpacked the boxes back into my new drawers.

All drawers are empty now, if I had two working feet I would have moved it by now. Its being disposed of since I have a replacement. I will take the drawers out at some stage before Saturday so my mum/brother can move it out. I think that is the plan, mum seems to change it on a hourly basis.
A friend is coming over on Saturday to help move some things, so I know he helping move mums out, not sure where mine will be by then. Its not that heavy once you take drawers out.
There is a hole in the back of at least one side of frame as I knocked it out 25 years ago to let the cables of a fish tank pump to run out back of drawer and up to the 4 foot fish tank that used to sit on the drawers. Its one more step away from owning fish (they too expensive now).
Anyway, hole will make gripping it easier from behind.

Will be nice to move it as I can then vacuum behind it and see what has fallen down there over the years. I see spiders webs but thats a given here. I ignore spiders if I don't see them - we have 10 000 species of spider here, better just not knowing if you want to sleep at night. Only ones I say No to are https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntsman_spider even though they mostly harmless to me, I just don't

I tried to walk earlier, took a few steps, heal was complaining which seemed odd, then front of foot started to hurt and I took advice of all the websites I read about this and stopped as you don't want to push self. I should have known after 7 weeks of not using foot. I have another Doctors Appointment on Saturday so I ask them about exercises and try to think to ask for pain killers this time.

I'm going to stop spending money on games and spend it instead on Govee RGB Smart Lights. These things are awesome

Much as I'm opposed to "Smart" things in my house, I actually like my Govee Smartplug. I've got it inside my arcade cabinet and used it for the longest time on my youngest. He'd get so mad and start screaming and shouting at the games on there, pounding on the cabinet, we started telling him that it reacts to strong emotions and it'll shut off. So anytime he went berserk, I'd just shut it off via my phone and that's the end of that.

Backfired slightly though, cause he thought then he could "break" the cab by yelling at it.

Though I did just use this feature on my brother in law last week; he's got ADHD and will sometimes become enraptured by the cabinet when he's supposed to be leaving so we can go to bed. So in the middle of his best game of QIX last week, I shut it off on him and told him to get out. :ROFLMAO:

That looks like an excellent frozen pizza. I judge frozen pizza's only on the toppings since the crusts always seem about the same to me. I like my frozen pizza crusts a little on the sloppy side, while my wife likes them crunchy.

Gotta be crunchy for me.

I keep a stash of frozen pizzas for "Family Movie Night"; gives me a break from cooking and the kids get to eat pizza. The Costco Cheese Pizzas are awesome.

I feel like I have a lot going on this month.

Gearing up for another tournament, this time in Mid February, so I'm trying to get stuff painted and doing a lot of testing with my buddy who's also going. I'm determined to do better this time than in August, when I just threw something together and did absolutely terribly. Though I did face the best player in the State and held my own against him, even correcting him on several rules, which made me feel pretty good.

But also, I've been in this Battletech campaign. I completed my first contract and got a big payout, ending-up with about 16-billion C-Bills. The guy running the campaign just chatted me and asked if I wanted to buy anything before we started the next phase, which got me buying my favorite mech, the Centurion for 9-Billion. I've already got it printed and primed, just need to paint it, but I probably won't meet up with the other players until the end of the month.

Next week I'm going to a friends house, because they really want me to play this other wargame with them, Warhammer: The Old World. It seems fun, but I haven't been motivated to finish building my army. I've only got it partially built and it's already like 70+ Dwarves; just looking at it makes me feel overwhelmed. I doubt I'll ever get a single model painted for it, unless I can figure out a fast and easy way to do it. But I am excited to play a Rank and File wargame, which I never have.

But then I'm trying to play through a game for the monthly game club on my other forum. I really like it, but I'm trying to balance it with all the other stuff I feel like I need to be doing, in addition to my other daily stuff and general house maintenance I need to keep up with.

I'm a bit split between soft and crunchy. I like crunchy the most whenever I eat pizza at restaurants, mostly because I often get some dip on the side, so it works best using a beef knife/fork to gather it all in one go. At home, I'm leaning slightly more soft because it is easier to roll, especially if I have been having a few beers and just want to chomp on some fast.

@BeardyHat That Costco Cheese Pizza looks tasty!

I have no idea what happened to the guy who made the pinokio software. He just disappeared. Two months after disappearing, he sent me a message about changing a line of code. Then nothing else. I'm not knowledgeable enough to keep it going, and not interested in trying to figure it out because now the whole thing is a disaster. All the required bits and pieces have had multiple updates, and I can't find any pinokio scripts at all that are still working. Since I would have to learn so much, it would be better for me to just start from scratch--but no.

Had a fender bender a couple of days ago. My bumper BARELY bent at all - maybe one millimeter on the front-left side. Headlights are still aligned. Still, I sent some photos in for an estimate.

They want over $3K and expect repairs to take 25+ hours.

I get the feeling that's a "we don't want to do this work" estimate. I think I can fix it by getting some automotive touch-up paint.

You know, I think I'm going to start asking myself the difficult questions, like is a pizza really worth $50?
FIFTY!? This is a veal pizza with double caviar??

:Well, they charge for every topping, and we did half the pizza with pepperoni, sausage, black olives and banana peppers, and the other half with pepperoni and mushrooms. So that's 5 different ingredients we got charged $3 a piece for. So I guess a cheese pizza would be $35, although you would probably order more cheese...

Wow. Major sticker shock. 14 inch ($20), deep dish ($10), 5 toppings (5x1.7= $8.50). I guess tip and tax could break $50, but a deep dish that big would feed 8 people with some left over. I get a 10 inch deep dish and it's enough for 3 meals!

It's all the sensors and nonsense cars come equipped with these days. If it's a newer vehicle. it'll have sensors in the bumper, sensors in the grill, etc, etc.

That said, most fender benders are just an exchange of paint and most likely you can fix 95% of your problems with a clay bar.

Soak it in water, wash the affected area with a sponge and some soapy water (dishsoap works fine), make sure to keep the area and the clay bar wet and then scrub the exchanged paint with the clay bar. You may need to use more pressure than you think you scrub it off. It'll take any traded paint right off and make things look maybe not new, but significantly less obvious.

I really like Dominoes, but we don't order out anymore because it's so expensive. I keep the frozen pizzas on hand because of this.

I believe it's a Tesla, so when he takes a nap on the freeway, the AI driver is going to head straight into oncoming traffic due to sensor malfunction, or possibly just an ill mood.
