@Frindis,
^That King Poodle breed is so cool and they make such great pets. I imagine sometimes it would be cool to have a Belgian Malinois as a companion to run and mt bike trails with. It's a slightly smaller and similar looking breed to a German Shepard for those who don't know, but with WAY more energy. Then I come back to reality and realize I would look silly on a mt bike being outrun by my own dog. It might also be a bit too rambunctious in the senior only building I live in.

Years ago when I was over 20 yrs younger, I was mt biking a trail down south of where I live a bit. There was talk that the trails may not be accessible anymore due to potential land development. I started to realize that was all talk to convince mt bikers it's not a good place to ride anymore. I ran into some sections of trail that looked like someone had built a big, deep ditch across it, and I saw no reason for it other than to dissuade mt bikers.

Fortunately there was a neighborhood German Shepard out on the trail I had seen many times in someone's back yard across the street from where we parked to use the trails. I had stopped at one of those ditches and was having a hard time seeing a safe way across. I said to the dog, can you find a way. He immediately started sniffing and right away found a very thin line along the left edge that I'd then realized was being used by others.

I swear dogs will help any person in need, whether a stranger or not, as long as you treat them with respect. Truly man's best friend.

I'll leave you with a video I saw yesterday of a couple guys riding a very well built mt bike trail. It's in Hope BC, where Rambo First Blood was filmed, so they call the trail First Blood. It's about a 4km long descent measured horizontally, but drops 1000m in elevation, so a bit shorter than 4K (likely about 2 mi actual distance). It's in dense forest with lots of granite and creeks, and has a pretty steep pitch in places. It's a black rated trail, but honestly, for a BC area trail it also has very good flow and no real death defying drops or white knuckle obstacles like many of the BC black trails do.

From inception to completion, this trail took 8 years to finish. At the 1:35 mark as they're driving to the start of the trail, they pass by a waterfall that looks a lot like one of the ones shown in the First Blood movie.

This makes me want fish again.
I would love to have this but I know I couldn't build it
I used to love keeping fish. I quit when I gave one tank away and started a new one with Kissing Gourami. Everything in the tank was brand new, although I had aged the water. Anyway, it was evening when I got back with the fish, and I eased them into the tank then went to bed.

In the morning I discovered that the brand new heater I bought had malfunctioned overnight and they were all dead. This was about the time we had our first kid, and I decided to just empty the tank and put it away. I brought it out only one time since then and made a terrarium for a box turtle that we kept for about a year before the kids took him outside to play and lost track of him. I looked around a long time but couldn't find him.

I always thought it was kind of funny, given that turtles are so slow, that we let one escape.

It must have been cold as Gourami can breath air. We used to find them on the floor, still alive... just put back in the tanks.
I lost my favourite fish due to no heater... it wasn't even my fault, tank was at a friends house and his mum unplugged the wrong power board.

we bred angels for a while
actually sold some to the pet shop.

My parents had a Belgian Malinois for a couple of weeks. Before that it had been trained to become a police dog, but did not meet the standard they were looking for, so it needed a new home. Unfortunately, my parents noticed that the dog had some mental issues and it would be nervous about just about anything. Most likely it was trained too hard to become a police dog, and something happened during training. They had to give him back to the original owner after the two weeks. It was a beautiful and very fit dog that would come back whenever you gave a command, even if there were cats around. I will see if I can find a picture later on.

My dad's had a couple of Italian Spinone hunting dogs, and they are just amazingly smart and gentle. Downsides would be that they are huge and prolific droolers.

My dog is a mix between a beagle and a blue heeler. She's a great dog, but had to be trained not to bark and whine all the time.

Nice pic, great looking dog. This dog looks perfectly calm here, but you never know what anxieties lurk inside a Malinois. If you've never seen John Wick 3 Parabellum, it features some pretty good Malinois scenes. These dogs are just so quick, strong, and agile it's amazing what they can do. WARNING, it starts out with an animal cruelty scene, but it's just some good doggie acting in reality.

For the first time in a few weeks I was totally up to date with my course on Friday and had nothing to do on weekend... not used to that. Didn't play any games as 2 days isn't enough time.
I had assumed the last week of the unit would be full of questions and I would be have to do a video... nope. Only had 3 questions to answer this week... already done two of them.
Its only 2.30am on Monday morning so I have rest of the week to fill on one form and take a screenshot of it. Looks like I have more free time again.

I remember reading that they could jump really high.

Found some of my old PC Gamer magazines. The condition is pretty good, so I'm happy about that. Also found a sealed copy of Facebreaker (promotional copy) for Xbox 360. I wonder if that one is worth anything.

Hopefully, when I unpack my PC, it will work. It has been in storage for about four months. I forgot I had gotten rid of the original package, so I had to improvise and made my own "box" out of cardboard pieces that I wrapped around it, then some bubble wrap, then a slim mattress topper, some more bubble wrap and finished it off with a larger mattress topper that I strapped tight around it all. The whole thing looked like a giant ball, but hopefully, it was enough protection over the distances it was transported. I will let you guys know if the PC works later today or tomorrow:sweatsmile::sweatsmile:

I did take a slight risk in trusting my wrapping capabilities, so do roast me:

The longest I have gone without using a PC in the last 18 or so years is... um... maybe a week or so when I put one in for repair 15 years or so ago. Before I started choosing good parts, when I was still using a seven year old PC and parts were starting to fail. Before I had someone I could trust to help. We put it into one store, they sat on it for a week, and then gave back saying they couldn't help... or something unhelpful. Its hard to find people in this city that want to look at custom PC.

I feel like plugging my old one in, just cause its still a good pc, Feels like a waste to have it just sitting around waiting for mum to clean room out. I had hoped it would be soon but it might have to wait until we replace windows. October is a deadline for her. (note: when I said windows in previous sentence, I wasn't talking about win 10, but it works both ways. We are actually replacing the glass and the OS).
I should turn it on before then just to let windows update.

Back to your case:
Without getting the foam they use to pack cases, that looks okay.
You might have wanted to take GPU out if its a chunky beast. I would do that if I were to move mine out of house.
9nbmxk5.jpeg

image reminded me, I almost have as much space between front of case and GPU now as i had in the last case with my RTX 2070 Super in it. Cards would have to get silly long before much of that free space will be used for anything other than enhanced cooling.

Transporting my case would be interesting. Instinct is to remove the side glass, but it holds the bottom mesh side panel on. I figured that out when I was moving it to kitchen one time. Its a tall case, I wasn't expecting that detail. Makes it hard to carry.

I had all those issues. Makes me regret tossing them in the garbage ages ago, but I wouldn't have wanted to cart several big crates around with me as I moved over the last 20 years.

One funny thing is, a couple years ago found my very first issue I ever got of PC Gamer, which had been lost for like 15+ years. Can't even remember where I'd found it, but was happy to have it back.

Looks like roast beef!

Still no idea how I got sick from moving stuff around in my shed, but at least I'm mostly over it now. Still pretty congested and my head feels pretty...floaty? Bloated? Not sure exactly, but I'm definitely on the mend and having a lot of phlegm come out my nose and throat.

Hopefully over it even more by this evening, as I'm supposed to have quite a few people over for D&D and I'm intending to make a semi-involved dinner for it, so we'll see.

I have been trying to tidy up my boxes. Still got some clothes I probably will never fit into, but them memories are hard to toss away. I did fit into a Harry Tweed jacket, so that was a plus.

I was thinking it also looked a bit like a sushi roll:D

I had sooo many gorilla tapes wrapped around different layers, even more layers than I remember. Took me 20 minutes to get through it all and then I used an air duster to remove some dust. No damage looking at it, and I am happy I put some foam into the tower (the one you get when you buy a PC). Still not hooked it up, need some food now and a beer.

I end up being very aggressive about getting rid of things, because my parents are on the opposite end and just have piles of crap saved that's 60 years old.

There's a few things I regret getting rid of, my PC Gamers, a couple of big box games boxes (Half-Life, Quake 2) and a jacket, but by and large I don't know what I'd be doing with that stuff anyway!

Just don't spill the beer in the computer.

This definitely hasn't happened to my friends and I...

I got some old plates, glass, and stuff like that from my parents. Instead of just storing it, I am using it. A win, win if something breaks.

You guys probably watched Futurama and thought the PC was Bender:grin:

I managed to break a vase full of water on top of my old PC. I tried to pick it up with just one hand at the top. Yeeah, really dumb. So I paid the price and PC started to burn. Bye bye PC

My last Silverstone case that I owned forced me to remember not to put any drinks on the top as that was where the back plate was. It had a 90 degree rotated motherboard
Spill water in it would have had a similar reaction.
Last 3 PC have had a no go top of the cases. Generally the only thing on top has been my wifi antennae tho last night I thought I would start putting the control panel for my speakers on top of it as well.
For some added contrast Especially now I have found its remote again, no need to be near me.

Now no liquid gets anywhere near my case as its on other side of room to me.

15 years or more ago now we had a flood. We were getting the bathroom upgraded and the plumber didn't seal the pipes well enough. We came home from being out of house while he worked to find water running under the front door. We had to replace all of our carpet and my PC needed to be checked for water damage as it had been sitting on floor at the time. My PC's have been sitting on a box ever since that occurred

Not having a great brain day. Apparently I was completely out of it and decided it would be a good idea to take 80 units of fast-acting insulin and go to sleep. I've done some other curious things lately without knowing it due to extreme insomnia, but the insulin thing is flat out dangerous. Luckily, I only slept for a little less than an hour, and when I woke up I experienced something very few people will ever experience, with every cell of my body screaming for food. It's a level of hunger that is hard to describe, as your body thinks, rightfully, that it is about to slip into a coma and die if it doesn't get food immediately. I keep a bottle of grape flavored sugar tablets by the bed, and when your body is running dangerously low on energy, these tablets taste like they came straight from the hand of God, otherworldly and supernaturally divine. They only have 3g of sugar per tablet, so I put a few in my mouth, chewed them up, and then held them in my mouth for a few minutes before swallowing. This way the sugar gets absorbed directly to the blood stream instead of having to travel through your digestive system first. My head cleared up pretty quickly, and I was no longer in danger, but my body takes awhile to come to grips with that, so it was still screaming for food, and so I went down to the fridge and helped myself to some leftover pizza. :)

It sounds like you need to be tied down and under constant supervision to stop you doing dumb things while sleep deprived. Or at least tied to your gaming chair...

I moved my PC so I can see it easier without the base of my bed obscuring it, and I can also see the front now - I tend to forget it has a wood strip around the edge.
Upside is I can see it now without moving as much, can see both bottom fans now
Downside is its closer to being directly under my heater vent now so average temps of CPU have increased a little.

If I tried to pick up my current PC tower with one hand, it wouldn't be a vase of water breaking. My Corsair 7000D weighs at least 40 lb itself, and that's without all the extra stuff I didn't use. Whole tower probably weighs close to 50 lbs with all the other components. Maybe more since I have a fair number of HDDs in it.

I was looking at reviews on PCPartPicker using this case and one guy with a similar build to mine nicknamed it the Spine Breaker! o_O
